Pas d'autre choix que de faire un croisement entre ces deux maquettes pour sortir un biplace koweïtien avec les décalque de la ,vénérable, boite Matchbox. La maquette Sword,biplace, est gravée finement,correctement détaillée avec une mention spéciale pour les sièges et tableau de bord améliorés par de la photo-découpe. La maquette Airfix, monoplace, est de la veine de bonnes maquettes de cette marque,bien détaillée et gravure un peu trop profonde pour mon échelle préférée. Trouvé sur le Net quelques photos du biplace koweïtien tous alu...ça promet de bonnes séances de ponçage. Cet avion ne correspond pas vraiment aux canons de la beauté aéronautique mais il a de la gueule...

Le T.Mk 55 est identique au Mk.4 britannique pour la cellule et les moteur, mais les koweïtien et les saoudiens ont exigé que leurs biplaces soient aux mêmes normes que leurs F.Mk 53 avec la nouvelle voilure et le réservoir du Mk.6.contrairement à la RAF.

En gros, je vais récupérer les ailes,dérive et réservoir de la maquette Airfix pour les greffer sur le fuselage du Sword, j'en suis déjà tout émoustillé !!

Le montage c'est... du Sword, pas de tenons-mortaises ou d'emplacement prédéfinis pour le cône radar etc. à l'instinct c'est le mieux. Sword est largement "pardonné" par la qualité de son tableau de bord et ses sièges qui sortent largement du lot habituel pour cette échelle.

Maintenant, une fois les fuselages collés, c'est la salle d'op. pour enlever le p'tit bedon du T-Mk4 pour le remplacer par le gros du F-2 Airfix.

Coup de bol la largeur des deux maquettes est exactement de la même dimension j'ai du réduire de 2mm la longueur de la pièce Airfix. En tous cas je suis content de mon pied à coulisse... Very Happy

Merci pour le chirurgien, en plus il l'a fait sans anesthésie ....Dommage que Sword n'aie pas fait l'entée d'air avec un pièce à part,il y a un gros boulot d'affinage, délicat, pour amincir la lèvre de cette entrée d'air en gardant la même épaisseur partout. Des difficulté aussi pour donner une forme égale gauche-droite et haut-bas.

Bonne surprise de constater que les ailes Airfix s'ajustent à 90% avec le fuselage Sword,juste remplir une encoche,prévue pour caler la pièce, avec du plasticard sur les aile Airfix.

Faire un renflement des deux côtés du réservoir ventral, absent sur la maquette Airfix vu que c'est F-2A, ce pièce se voit sur les F-Mk6 et les versions export Mk53 et 55.

Tout ce passait bien jusqu'à ce que je retire le scotch (Tamiya comme d'ab.) et là oh rage est désespoir ...des particules de colle du scotch sont restée accrochées sur la peinture de la couche inférieure et impossible de les enlever sans abimer la peinture. Seule solution...tout enlever au diluant et recommencer à zéro,c'est mes peintures habituelles ainsi que le scotch, c'est un mystère qui me fout les boules graves.

La bande cache Tam, avant de la mettre, je la colle et la décolle plusieurs fois sur un jeans avant de la poser .

Merci pour vos conseils et suggestions,le coup du jean's a été testé avec succès. Deux" belles" journée de scotchage et re-scotchage pour les quatre alu , un peu de tension au dé-scothage après avoir peint la dernière surface alu...Yeeessss ! tout c'est bien passé.

Demain un coup de vernis Model Master Spécial Alu avant de poser les trains d'atterrissage.
